The growing (urban) population in DRC and Uganda consumes more and more. By investing in both retailers and wholesale traders in DRC, we aim to improve access to consumer goods. The first proper supermarket in Boma opened in 2016, offering a wide range of products as well as a bakery and restaurant. Other examples are a low-income household and hygiene products retailer and a wholesaler providing food supplies to bakeries and supermarkets in Kinshasa and Bas-Congo as well as several other supermarkets. A bakery chain in Kampala provides daily bread across a network of outlets.
