Investment in Central Africa is in its early stages and already the fearless few, attracted by vast opportunities in natural resources, have started to test the waters.
XSML managing partner Marcel Posthuma, who is co-responsible for the company’s Central Africa SME Fund, believes opportunities are huge, citing returns of around 20-30% – but only for those who can navigate the barrage of challenges still afflicting the region.
